Lead Bake & Pray events in your own church or community!

We offer two different programs for those interested in leading Bake & Pray events in their own church or community:

Clergy Training & Retreat:

The clergy training and retreat is designed for lay or ordained church leaders who are interested in leading Bake & Pray events in their own congregation, or those who would like to learn more about the philosophy behind the Bake & Pray event.

This three day event is a time of both continuing education and rest/renewal for church leaders. At the end of the program, you will have the skills needed to lead a Bake & Pray workshop at your church, or to integrate the rhythms behind Bake & Pray into your own church programming.

This event is appropriate for bread makers of all skill levels.

2026 Clergy Retreats and Trainings:

July 15-17 at St. Francis Springs in Stoneville, NC

Facilitator Training & Licensing

The full facilitator training and licensing program is for professional bakers and advanced home bakers who are interested in teaching Bake & Pray workshops in your bakery, denomination, or broader community.

You will learn the fundamentals of the Bake & Pray method, how to structure and lead workshops and events, and how to manage the business side of things.

After the training, licensed Bake & Pray facilitators are expected to attend quarterly continuing education calls and an annual in-person facilitator retreat.

The 2026 Facilitator training will take place in August—the exact date to be determined by late January.
